Autumn 2016 Bursledon Surgery News

Due to an unfortunately high turnover of staff in recent months, I am working with Bursledon Surgery as their Interim Practice Manager until they are in a better place to understand what management structure the Surgery needs.

I will be supporting and assisting the Surgery in providing safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led services to the community it serves. I will also be facilitating the mandated improvements following the Care Quality Commission’s inspection this summer, which the Surgery acknowledges and has an action plan being continuously implemented.

If you have any feedback, please feel free to address me directly although I do not work every day. Alternatively, see Compliments, comments, concerns or complaints section.

Another new face you will see is Daniel Ferrett. He helped with the flu clinic last Saturday but his official starting date is Monday 17th October. His role is Office Manager and he will be in the Surgery most days so, if required, please speak with him directly in my absence.

We are both looking forward to working with the Surgery team and yourselves.

Kind Regards

Clare Tuck

Changes to our Phlebotomy Services (Blood taking Service)

All 5 practices in the Eastleigh Southern Parishes have joined together to form a company called Eastleigh Southern Parishes Network Ltd.  We created this company so that we could bid for the current Phlebotomy service which was going our to tender and ensure that the patient's of Eastleigh Southern Parishes  could continue to be able to have a phlebotomy services within their own practice.

Bursledon Surgery will continue to provide the same service of Phlebotomy to its patients as before, but in addition to this our patients will have the choice be able to have their blood taken at the 4 other practices if it is more convenient.  See Eastleigh Southern Parishes Network Ltd. for more information.
