Non-NHS Services

Services

Certain services provided by your Doctor are not covered by the NHS and you may be asked to pay a fee. These include:

  •  Pre-employment medicals
  • Private medicals
  • Insurance claims
  • Fitness to drive medicals
  • Sickness certificates for less than 7 days
  • Road Traffic Accident Fee - Road Traffic Act 1988 The NHS currently has the power, under the Road Traffic Act 1988, to recoup the cost of treating the casualties of road traffic accidents. GP's may levy an "emergency treatment fee" of £22.40 directly on the patient, who may then recoup the fee from their car insurance company

If you have any queries about fees or any other private medical services please discuss them with the receptionist or the Practice Manager.
