Test Results & Specimens

Specimens

If a doctor or a nurse asks you to bring a specimen in to the surgery to be sent to the laboratory, please ensure that the time and date are entered on both the form and the specimen bottle. Your name, address & date of birth must be clearly marked on the container and pathology form. Specimens are collected at 11:00 am. Please ensure they reach the surgery before this time.

Test Results

Please phone the surgery after 14:30 for the results of any tests. Please be aware that we can only disclose test results to the patient concerned. Whilst we will do our utmost to notify patients of any abnormal results, it is ultimately the Patient’s responsibility to follow up tests.
